Rachel Fried, DVM was born and raised on Eastern Long Island. After completing her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in Spanish at Scranton University, she gained acceptance to the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts. She completed her senior clinical rotations at North Carolina State University School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with high honors in January of 2010, remaining at NCSU for 4 additional months as an intern in the internal medicine and emergency department. Afterwards, she received additional training in emergency medicine through a one-year rotating small animal surgical and medical internship at a specialty hospital on Long Island. Upon completion of the internship, Dr. Fried became a member of our team in 2011.
Dr. Fried’s clinical interests include internal medicine, emergency & critical care, and feline medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and spending time with her family, including her two cats, Charlie and Tucker and her dog, Sunshine.
