We are excited to announce that Dr. Caitlin Bowman has joined our 24/7 ER team. She has significant experience in emergency medicine and enjoys the fast-paced nature of the ER. She looks forward to caring for companion animals at our advanced, 24/7 emergency & specialty hospital in Riverhead.
Meet Dr. Bowman
Caitlin Bowman, DVM received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University and completed her clinical year at the University of Illinois. She then stayed on for her small animal rotating internship followed by a specialty internship in emergency medicine and critical care. She also participated in externships at the Detroit Zoo, the Tulane University Primate Center, and in Africa where she gained significant experience with exotic animals.
5 Fun Facts
-She’s about to be an aunt (her sister is due in Sept) and is a pet parent to her dog, Carter.
-She did vet work at the Detroit Zoo, the Tulane University Primate Center, and in Africa, so she has a lot of experience with exotics and loves working with them.
-She played and coached college soccer and would love to start coaching again in her free time.
-Before going to veterinary school, she worked as a substitute teacher.
-She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, which is located on the island of Saint Kitts in the Caribbean!
