Dr. Sarah Alward was born and raised in Eastern Canada. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and completed her clinical rotations at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She arrived in New York City for an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s historic Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital, and stayed on an additional year as an associate. In 2008, Dr. Alward ventured to Eastern Long Island and began working with the East Hampton Vet Group and The Animal Resuce Fund. She currently runs a house call business, serving the pets of Eastern Long Island. She also does relief work in general practice and emergency medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Alward spends time with her 5 year old son making LEGO creations, and walking her three dogs, Easy, Betty and Hooligan. She also enjoys running, physical fitness, clamming and going to the beach.
