Dr. Scarlett Magda graduated with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biology from the University of Guelph in 2005. She obtained her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2009. After graduation, she moved to the United States to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists in New York City. Since then, Dr. Magda has worked in both emergency and critical care and general practice settings. She brings a wealth of experience to East End Veterinary Center, focusing on quality patient care and effective client communication.
When not caring for local family pets, Dr. Magda’s passion is raising awareness about the interconnectedness of human and animal health and tackling the root cause of animal welfare issues. In 2014, she founded the non-profit organization Veterinarians International whose mission is to provide veterinary aid and education to improve the health and well-being of animals and their communities worldwide.
Dr. Magda lives in Sagaponack, NY where she enjoys horseback riding, archery, fishing, and tending to her oyster farm.
